Marcel Bollinger

Marcel Bollinger (17 April 1923 – 17 May 2003) was a Swiss freethinker, editor and politician. Born in Schaffhausen, he and his future wife Emmi were shaped by the city’s working-class youth groups in the 1930s. He joined the Social Democratic Party of Switzerland and the trade unions. Bollinger served on the municipal council of Beringen from 1956 to 1988. He was the central president of the Freethinkers Association of Switzerland from 1958 to 1979.
