Eric Hurt, born June 11, 1957 in Compton, California, is a former American football defensive back. He played college football at San Jose State University after attending Compton High School. Hurt wore number 40 and played for the Dallas Cowboys in the 1980 season, appearing in four games. He was listed at 5 feet 11 inches tall and 171 pounds.
