Embilipitiya Maha Vidyalaya
Embilipitiya Maha Vidyalaya (EMV) is a government coeducational school in Embilipitiya, Ratnapura District, in the Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. It provides primary and secondary education for students in grades 6–13 and teaches in Sinhala and English. Founded on February 28, 1950 by Mr. Dissanayake, the school began with one building and 40 students. It is one of the oldest schools in Ratnapura. Today, EMV has about 2,047 students and 95 teachers. The principal is Mr. P.G. Nihal Pitagampala.
