SolidOx was a DIY welding line from Cleanweld Products, running from 1965 into the early 1980s. The name was trademarked in 1968. Oxygen for SolidOx came from SolidOx Pellets or Sticks, with the pellets made of sodium chlorate and burned to produce oxygen. Production appears to have continued until about 1983. In 1984, Cleanweld Products was sold to Cooper Industries, bringing the SolidOx line into Cooper’s tools division.
