Manuden is a village and civil parish in the Uttlesford district of Essex, England. It lies about 3.5 miles north of Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire and about 8 miles southwest of Saffron Walden. The parish had a population of 721 at the 2021 census. Manuden has its own parish council.

Manuden is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 as part of the Clavering hundred. Part of the village is a conservation area, and there are several listed buildings in and around the village. The local church is St Mary the Virgin. Inside the church is a tablet for William Wade, a Jacobean statesman who spent his retirement at Battles Hall in the village and is buried there.

There is a primary school in the village. In 2010, Manuden County Primary School topped the national KS2 league table for English and maths, with all pupils achieving level 5.

The village has active community groups, including a local history society, a junior football club and a cricket club.
