Malik Reed
Malik Reed (born August 5, 1996) is an American football linebacker from Dothan, Alabama. He is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 235 pounds. He played college football at the University of Nevada, Reno (Nevada Wolf Pack) from 2015 to 2018, earning first-team All-Mountain West in 2017 and second-team in 2016. He finished his college career with 203 tackles and 22 sacks.
Undrafted in 2019, Reed signed with the Denver Broncos. He played for Denver from 2019 to 2021. In 2020, he had two sacks against Cam Newton of the Patriots in Week 6 and two sacks against Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs in Week 7.
On August 30, 2022, the Broncos traded Reed to the Pittsburgh Steelers. On March 20, 2023, he signed a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins. He was released on August 29, 2023, and later joined the Las Vegas Raiders’ practice squad on September 27, 2023. He was promoted to the active roster on November 4 and waived on December 21. On January 10, 2024, Reed rejoined the Dolphins on their practice squad. He did not sign a reserve/future contract and became a free agent after his practice squad contract expired.
Reed is a Christian and is married to Cidavia Reed.
