Madhav Kashinath Deshpande (1910–1974) was an Indian Marathi writer from Maharashtra and a respected professor of English language and literature. Born in British India, he was fluent in both English and Marathi and worked to bring ideas from English literature into Marathi writing. His notable works include Aadhar, Priya Kavite, and Dhoomra Taranga. He died in 1974 at about 63 or 64 years old.
