Gennadiy Sharipov
Gennadiy Nikolayevich Sharipov (born 29 August 1974) is a former Uzbekistani footballer who also holds Russian citizenship. A versatile defender, midfielder and forward, he began his professional career in 1990 with FC Zarafshan Navoi in the Soviet Second League. He played for several clubs in Uzbekistan and Russia, including FK Buxoro, Pakhtakor Tashkent, FC Lada Togliatti, Volgar-Gazprom Astrakhan, FC Vityaz Podolsk, Chernomorets Novorossiysk, Don Novomoskovsk and ZiO-Podolsk. Sharipov earned two caps for Uzbekistan from 1999 to 2000. After retiring, he worked as administrator for FC Vityaz Podolsk from 2008 to 2009. He is 1.74 meters tall.
