Brachybacterium ginsengisoli
Brachybacterium ginsengisoli is a Gram-positive, strictly aerobic bacterium from the genus Brachybacterium. It was found in soil in a ginseng field in Yeoncheon County, South Korea, and described in 2014. The cells are spherical (coccoid) when the bacteria are in the stationary phase and irregular rods during the exponential growth phase. The name comes from ginseng and soil. It grows best at about 25°C and a near-neutral pH (6.5–7.5), but can grow from 4–34°C and pH 5.0–10.0.
