Madea's Witness Protection is a 2012 American comedy film written and directed by Tyler Perry, who also stars in it. The movie also features Eugene Levy, Denise Richards, Doris Roberts, Romeo Miller, Tom Arnold, John Amos, and Marla Gibbs. It’s the fourteenth Tyler Perry film and the seventh Madea movie. Filmed in Atlanta, it was released by Lionsgate on June 29, 2012. The budget was $20 million, and it grossed about $66.9 million worldwide.

Plot in simple terms:
George Needleman, the cautious CFO of Lockwise Industries, discovers his company is a Ponzi scheme run by the Malone crime family. The FBI wants him to testify, so he and his dysfunctional family go into witness protection and move in with Madea and her family in Georgia. A young man named Jake Nelson, who has a troubled past and a father who is a church pastor, also gets involved in a scheme to recover money from the broken mortgage fund. Madea, Joe, and the Needleman family navigate their new life while Brian and the FBI plan a risky move to return the stolen money to 12 charities. Madea disguises herself as an upscale woman named Precious Jackson and travels to New York to help move funds back to the charities. The operation is successful, the charges against George are dropped, and the family grows closer.

Reception and box office:
The film received mostly negative reviews from critics (Rotten Tomatoes around 19%, Metacritic about 42). Audiences gave it a decent score (CinemaScore A−). It opened around $25.4 million and finished with about $66.9 million worldwide, making it a financial success relative to its budget.
