Mack Eggleston
Mack Eggleston (Macajah Marchand Eggleston Jr.) was an American baseball player in the Negro leagues. Born September 16, 1896, in Roanoke, Virginia, he played as a catcher and outfielder and also worked as a manager. He batted and threw right-handed.
Eggleston began his career in 1919 with the Dayton Marcos and played through 1934 for more than a dozen teams, including the Detroit Stars, Columbus Buckeyes, Indianapolis ABCs, Washington/Wilmington Potomacs, Harrisburg Giants, Lincoln Giants, Baltimore Black Sox, Bacharach Giants, New York Black Yankees, Homestead Grays, Washington Pilots, and the Nashville Elite Giants. He also managed the Wilmington Potomacs in 1925.
He died in September 1980 in Baltimore, Maryland.
