MSV Duisburg II was the reserve team of MSV Duisburg, based in Duisburg, Germany. It was founded in 1958 by the club Meidericher SV (the club’s name before Duisburg was added in 1967) and officially started in 1959–60 to develop players not yet ready for the first team. They began in the lowest league and were promoted several times.

In 1968 they reached the Verbandsliga Niederrhein (the third tier at the time) but were relegated in 1970. Around this period the first team played in the Bundesliga and financial problems led to cuts in the reserve team, dropping to lower leagues. A revival began in the mid-1980s, with a strengthened role for the reserve team under president Dieter Fischdick (elected in 1988). Ewald Lienen coached the reserves starting in 1989, launching his own coaching career. In 1992 they returned to Verbandsliga Niederrhein (then the fourth tier) and dropped to the fifth tier in 1994, fluctuating between the two levels in the following years. Bernard Dietz coached from 2002 to 2006. From the 2005–06 season the team was officially called MSV Duisburg II. The club folded after the 2015–16 season.

Notable players include Herbert Bella, who held the reserve record for most matches (exact number unknown) but never played for the first team, and goalkeeper Rainer Rissel, who spent many years in the reserves before making a single first-team appearance at age 40. The home ground was Stadion Meiderich, which has a capacity of 5,000.
