Avery, Missouri
Avery is an unincorporated community in Missouri that sits on the border between Benton County and Hickory County. It lies along Supplemental Route B, about 8.7 miles north-northeast of Wheatland. A post office operated in Avery from 1890 to 1897, moving between different businesses and even between counties during that time. The community is named after Henry Avery, a county commissioner. Elevation is 797 feet. It’s in the Central Time Zone and uses area code 660.
