Máire Toner
Máire Toner, born 1 April 1992 in Belfast, is a Northern Ireland netball international. She made her senior debut for Northern Ireland in 2012 and played at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. She was part of the NI team that won silver at the 2012 European Netball Championship. Her older sister Fionnuala Toner is also a Northern Ireland netball international. Toner grew up in the Malone Road area of Belfast. She attended Our Lady and St Patrick's College (2003–2010), then Kent School (2010–2011), and studied Law and Politics at Queen's University Belfast (2011–2014). She also played basketball at school and university. At club level she played for Belfast Ladies and captained Northern Ireland's under-21 team. Since 2017 she has worked as a solicitor for Clifford Chance.
