Pohatcong Mountain
Pohatcong Mountain is a long ridge in Warren County, New Jersey, in the northeastern United States. It is about 6 miles (10 km) long and is part of the Appalachian Mountains. The ridge runs from west of Phillipsburg northeast to Allamuchy Township, and it continues north past Washington as Upper Pohatcong Mountain toward Hackettstown. The land is generally around 800 feet high, with some peaks reaching about 1,235 feet (374 m). Sometimes the name Pohatcong Mountain is used for both Pohatcong and Upper Pohatcong Mountain. The ridge divides the Pohatcong Creek watershed on the northwest side from the Musconetcong River watershed on the southeast side.
