Salvador Dubois
Joaquín Salvador Dubois Leiva, known as Salvador Dubois, was a Nicaraguan football goalkeeper born on 16 August 1935 in La Libertad. He began his career with Dínamo de Managua and later played for Santa Cecilia from 1961 to 1967. He moved to Honduras to play for Motagua from 1968 to 1974, making 92 league appearances, and finished his playing career with América in 1974. Dubois represented Nicaragua internationally, including participation in the 1975 Pan American Games.
After retiring as a player, he became a coach. He managed the Nicaragua national team and several Nicaraguan clubs, such as Santa Cecilia, Búfalos, MINT, Walter Ferretti, Juventus, Masachapa, and UNAN, at various times. He also worked for the Nicaraguan Football Federation (FENIFUT) as academy supervisor for three years and later served as a goalkeeper coach for Walter Ferretti. Salvador Dubois passed away on 11 July 2015 in Managua, at the age of 79.
