Lee Se-young
Lee Se-young (born December 20, 1992) is a South Korean actress from Seoul. She started as a child actress in 1997 and studied Media Communications at Sungshin Women’s University, where she was crowned Queen of Campus.
She became well known for early child roles in Dae Jang Geum, When I Turned Nine, Lovely Rivals, and The Wonder Years. As an adult, she has led popular series such as The Crowned Clown (2019) as Queen Yoo So-woon, The Red Sleeve (2021) as Sung Deok-im, The Law Cafe (2022) as Kim Yu-ri, The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract (2023), and What Comes After Love (2024). She has won the Baeksang Arts Award for Best New Actress (TV) and has appeared on Forbes Korea’s Power Celebrity 40 list several times, earning the nickname “Historical Drama Queen” for her work in period dramas.
In 2025, she left her long-time agency Prain TPC and signed with Fantagio. Over the years, she has taken on many ambassador roles and brand endorsements, including work with space and energy initiatives, and campaigns for Yoplait, Cetaphil, Versace fragrances, and other fashion and beauty brands.
