Luigi Viviani (born 22 October 1937 in Verona) is an Italian politician and trade unionist. In the 1980s he helped lead the Italian Confederation of Workers' Trade Unions, working in the general secretariat under Pierre Carniti. In 1993 he helped found the Social Christians movement with Ermanno Gorrieri, Pierre Carniti and other political figures.

Viviani served as a senator for two legislatures. In the XIII Legislature (1996–2001) he was Undersecretary for Labour in the government of Massimo D’Alema, working with Labour Minister Cesare Salvi. In the XIV Legislature (2001–2006) he was vice-president of the Democrats of the Left group in the Senate. He was a member of the Democrats of the Left and later the Democratic Party, representing Veneto (Verona/Cittadella).

He held several committee roles, including Defence, Budget, Territory and Environment, Regional Affairs, and the reform of the state budget; in the XIV Legislature he served on the Labour and Social Security Committee. Viviani lives in Verona and has been known for his work as a trade unionist and for co-founding the Social Christians.
