Serhiy Serhiyovych Kucherenko (born 7 January 1984) is a Ukrainian former football midfielder. He was born in Kirovohrad and moved to Odesa with his family when he was two. His father, Serhiy Petrovych Kucherenko, was a football player and coach, and Serhiy trained in the Chornomorets Odesa youth system.

Club career
Kucherenko’s career began in 2001 with Portovyk Illichivsk, where he did not play much. He later played for several Ukrainian clubs, including MFC Mykolaiv, Olimpia FC AES Yuzhnoukrainsk, Podillya Khmelnytskyi, Spartak Ivano-Frankivsk, Desna Chernihiv, Krymteplytsia Molodizhne, Obolon Kyiv, and on loan to Zakarpattia Uzhhorod. He also spent time back with Obolon Kyiv and later played for MFK Mykolaiv. In 2016–2017, he played for Krymteplytsia Molodizhne in Crimea.

Highlights
- 2009–10: Top scorer of the Ukrainian First League with Krymteplytsia (19 goals) and named the league’s best player by the Ukrainian Football newspaper.
- 2010: Joined Obolon Kyiv and made his Ukrainian Premier League debut against Dynamo Kyiv.
- 2011: Scored a late free-kick winner for Obolon Kyiv against Shakhtar Donetsk at Donbas Arena.

International and family notes
In 2007, he was called up to the Ukrainian student team. He is the son of coach Serhiy Petrovych Kucherenko, and his father coached Desna Chernihiv, a club Serhiy joined during that period.

Current status
Kucherenko is a former professional footballer, with his last known club stint in 2016–2017.
