Lake Pieman
Lake Pieman is a man-made reservoir on the Pieman River in Tasmania’s West Coast region, Australia. It was built in 1986 and forms a long, narrow lake that runs along the river from Reece Dam to the Bastyan Dam near Rosebery. The lake covers about 222 hectares (550 acres) and holds around 300 million cubic metres of water. The Pieman River is both its main inflow and outflow, and the surrounding catchment area is about 2,653 square kilometres. It is managed by Hydro Tasmania.
