Armor Attack is a 1981 arcade shooter by Cinematronics designed by Tim Skelly. In the game you pilot a jeep through a top‑down, maze‑like town. The buildings aren’t drawn directly; instead an overlay sits on the screen and tints the vectors green.

Controls are simple: rotate the jeep with two buttons (left or right), press forward to move, and use a rocket button to fire. You can have up to two rockets in flight at once.

Enemies come in from the screen edges. Tanks move along straight horizontal or vertical paths and their turrets track you, shooting in any direction. Tanks take two hits to destroy. Helicopters loop around the player, firing as they fly; destroying a helicopter earns an extra life. You die from being shot or by colliding with a tank. In two-player mode, players cannot shoot each other. The game periodically speeds up to raise the difficulty.

A Vectrex version followed in 1982 with similar gameplay. In that version the buildings are still overlays and the image is green-tinted. The Vectrex release was noted for the helicopter’s realism.
