Reptiles of the Democratic Republic of the Congo

This article lists the reptile families and species found in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). It uses Broadley’s 1998 study, The Reptilian Fauna of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Congo-Kinshasa), and the Reptile Database as references. The DRC has about 336 reptile species, in 109 genera, 22 families, and 5 orders. Some species are expected to occur in the DRC because they are found in neighboring areas but have not yet been recorded here (notes after names).
