List of participants in the 2010 Gaza Freedom Flotilla
The 2010 Gaza Freedom Flotilla had 688 participants from 41 nations. On May 31, 2010, Israeli naval forces intercepted the flotilla; nine participants were killed and seven IDF commandos were injured. Notable passengers included Mairead Corrigan (Nobel Peace Prize winner), Denis Halliday (former UN Assistant Secretary-General), Edward Peck (former U.S. Ambassador to Iraq), Fehmi Bülent Yıldırım (president of the İHH), Haneen Zoabi (Israeli-Arab member of the Knesset), Raed Salah (leader of the northern branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel), and Hilarion Capucci (retired archbishop who had been convicted by Israel for arms smuggling to the Palestine Liberation Army). The participants came from 41 nations.
