Domagoj Zubac (January 26, 1990 – June 25, 2018) was a Bosnian Croat footballer who played as a midfielder. He was born in Čapljina, in what was then SFR Yugoslavia, and began his career with HNK Čapljina in Bosnia’s First League in 2008. In 2010 he moved to Croatia to play for Neretva, making 11 appearances. He returned to Čapljina for the 2012–13 season and helped the club in the Bosnia Cup, including a win over Borac Banja Luka. In early 2013 he had an unsuccessful trial with Písek in the Czech Republic. In 2014 he joined Burlington SC in Canada, then moved to Hamilton City in 2016, helping Hamilton reach the playoffs and then the league final, where he scored in the final but the team lost to the Serbian White Eagles in extra time. In between, he played mini-football for Čapljina and later MNK Metković in Croatia, recording 7 matches and 4 goals. Zubac died on June 25, 2018 after a car accident in Čapljina. HNK Čapljina honored him with a mural on the stadium wall, and the club’s junior team paid tribute as well.
