Liam Stocker (born 23 January 2000) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the St Kilda Football Club in the AFL. He was originally drafted to Carlton with pick No. 19 in the 2018 national draft, becoming the first player drafted via a live trade.

Stocker was born in Camperdown, New South Wales. His family moved to Beijing when he was four, and they returned to Australia when he was 10. He grew up in Melbourne’s Sandringham area, attended Haileybury College (graduating in 2017), and started playing junior football with East Sandringham Zebras. He starred for the Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup, averaging strong numbers in 2018 and winning the Morrish Medal as the best and fairest player in the competition. He also earned selection for Vic Metro in the 2018 AFL Under 18 Championships, though injuries interrupted his season.

Carlton drafted Stocker at No. 19 in 2018 in the league’s first-ever live-trade draft. He made his AFL debut in Round 7, 2019 against North Melbourne and finished that season with 5 games. He signed a three-year contract to stay at Carlton through 2022.

The 2020 season was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic; Stocker did not play and later revealed that returning to Victoria and the hub life affected his mental health. His best season came in 2021, when he played 17 of 22 games. He played 6 games in 2022 and was delisted by Carlton at the end of the year.

Stocker joined St Kilda as a rookie during the supplemental selection period ahead of the 2023 season. He plays mainly as an inside midfielder and defender, known for his endurance, tackling, and ability to kick well on both feet. At 184 cm and 83 kg, he wears guernsey number 14 for St Kilda.

Career stats (to the end of the 2025 season): 84 AFL games and 2 goals (28 games and 2 goals for Carlton from 2019–2022; 56 games for St Kilda from 2023–2025). Career highlight: Morrish Medal, 2018.
