Open All Night (TV series)
Open All Night is an American sitcom that aired on ABC from November 28, 1981, to March 5, 1982. It stars George Dzundza as Gordon Feester, who runs the 364 Store, an all-night grocery open every day except Christmas. Feester lives in an apartment above the store with his wife Gretchen and his teenage stepson Terry. The tall night manager, Robin, and two officers, Steve and Edie, stop by for coffee and doughnuts, but they never manage to catch shoplifters or other criminals. The show is not connected to the British series Open All Hours or the film All Night Long. Jay Tarses co-creature, writer, and occasional director of the show. Cassandra Peterson guest-starred on one episode, and David Letterman also appeared, making a sly reference to his daytime talk show. Open All Night ran for one season with 12 episodes (2 unaired), with each episode about 30 minutes. It was produced by Freeway Productions, with Bernie Brillstein as executive producer.
