Li Shilong
Li Shilong, born August 10, 1977, in Guangzhou, China, is a Chinese chess Grandmaster. He earned the Grandmaster title in 2002, becoming China's 14th grandmaster. His peak rating was 2561 in November 2012. He has competed in many tournaments, including the Amsterdam tournament, Groningen Chess Festival, Corus, Aeroflot Open, Noteboom Memorial, Cappelle-la-Grande Open, and the Chinese Chess Championship. In 2005, at the Asian Chess Championship in Hyderabad, he finished second with 7.5/9, behind Zhang Zhong. In September 2008, he won the 4th Prospero Pichay Cup in Parañaque with 7.5/9, one point ahead of the field. In 2011, he won the 8th IGB Dato' Arthur Tan Malaysia Open in Kuala Lumpur.
