Levi the Poet

Levi Morgan MacAllister, born July 26, 1989, is an American spoken-word artist who performs under the name Levi the Poet. He comes from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and his music blends spoken word with singing.

Early life
Levi is the son of a preacher, Mark Stephen MacAllister, and Jody McEwen MacAllister. He has a sister named Bree. His father died by suicide in 2011, which led Levi to become an advocate for mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

Music career
Levi began making music in 2007. His first release, Werewolves, came out in 2009. He released the EP Monologues with Come&Live! Records in 2011. His first studio album, Seasons, was released in 2012 through Come&Live!. In 2014 he released the independently produced album Correspondence (A Fiction). A later album, Cataracts, followed in 2018, again released independently.

Levi has also contributed to other artists’ projects, including Sleeping Giant and Hotel Books. He has put out several singles such as The Beginning / The Separation, Tetelestai, Joy Seekers, Anxiety, It’s All Worth Living For, and Sanctuary Cities.

Personal life
Levi lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and continues to create music and share his work.
