Leo Drabent (15 June 1899 – 20 November 1944) was a German peace activist and Communist. Born in Blumenthal, Bremen, he painted anti-war slogans in 1917 and, after finishing his fitter training, was drafted and wounded at the front. He joined the Communist Party in 1923 and held leadership roles in Bremen, including propaganda work and a seat in the Hannover regional assembly. After the Nazis took power in 1933, he spoke out against them and was arrested, sent to concentration camps, and tortured. Released, he continued illegal Communist activity and helped organize resistance in Bremen, connected to the Hamburg-based Bästlein-Jacob-Abshagen Group. He was arrested again in March 1943, sentenced to death in October 1944, and executed by guillotine at Brandenburg-Görden Prison on 20 November 1944, aged 45. He was survived by his wife Marianne.
