Chuck Versus the First Kill

Chuck strikes a deal with his ex-girlfriend Jill Roberts: she’ll be released from prison if she helps him find his father, Stephen. Meanwhile, Morgan tries to sabotage Emmett’s performance review. Chuck confronts Beckman about their failure to locate his father and decides to take matters into his own hands by interrogating a Fulcrum agent.

Jill suggests using her family connections to reach her father’s best friend, Uncle Bernie, a Fulcrum recruiter. Chuck goes undercover with Jill, planning a party to celebrate their engagement so they can access Bernie. Casey and Sarah monitor from a van outside.

Bernie suffers a fatal heart attack, and Casey and Chuck carry him out of the party, pretending he’s still alive. At Castle, Chuck intercepts a call from Fulcrum to Bernie. Sarah traces the call to a front business used by Fulcrum for recruitment. Jill guides Chuck and Sarah through infiltrating the facility, where they take a test to determine their recruitment eligibility. Chuck is taken in for interrogation, while Casey escapes with a very low score.

Jill and Sarah enter to rescue them, but Sarah is identified and a heavy firefight erupts. Jill tries to escape and overhears that Stephen is being moved to a place called Black Rock, outside Barstow. Jordana Brewster returns as Jill, and it’s later revealed that Chuck is headed toward his first kill by the end of the season.
