Lello Voce
Lello Voce, born in 1957 in Naples, is an Italian poet, novelist, and journalist. He helped found Gruppo 93 and the poetry magazine Baldus. He lives in Treviso, Veneto.

Other work and influence
- His poems, stories, and essays have appeared in Italian and international publications. His work has been translated into many languages.
- He has written for TV and radio, including co-writing The Navel of the World (2000) and the Places/NonPlaces script (2003).
- As a literary critic, he has written on post-modernism, the link between poetry and vocalization, and has contributed to magazines such as Baldus, Allegoria, Testuale, La Taverna di Auerbach, and DeriveApprodi. His essay “Avant-Garde and Tradition” is included in an international collection on avant-garde poetry.
- In 2005 he edited and introduced the first Italian anthology of Haroldo de Campos, L’educazione dei cinque sensi.

- Artistic director of the Venezia Poesia Festival (1996)
- Worked with the Italian Culture Institute of Sao Paulo for the 14th Book Biennial (1996)
- UNESCO project leader for Verona Rap, a major international rap and hip-hop festival (1998)
- Artistic Director of Romapoesia International Festival (2001–2004)
- Organized the first Italian Poetry Festival in Japan (Tokyo, 2001)
- Since 2005, artistic director of the International Poetry Festival of Monfalcone
Other activities
- He has been a columnist for L’Unità, Giornale di Sardegna, and other publications, and has collaborated on projects such as Solo Limoni (about the 2001 G8 summit in Genoa) and Il buio su Piazza Alimonda.
- He helped create the net art work QWERTYU for the Domus website.
- He received the Delfini Poetry Award in 2003 for L’esercizio della lingua. Some of his verses were set to music on the CD Fast Blood.
- Voce helped introduce Poetry Slams to Italy and led international poetry slams with poets speaking many languages (Romapoesia, 2002; Big Torino, 2002).
- In 2002 a German TV channel aired a program about his work.
