List of Privy Counsellors (1901–1910)
List of Privy Counsellors (1901–1910)
Between 1901 and 1910, during King Edward VII’s reign, a number of people were appointed to the Privy Council of the United Kingdom. The Privy Council is a formal body of advisers to the Crown. Its members are usually senior politicians, judges, and other distinguished figures from public life.
Appointments are made by the monarch on the advice of the Prime Minister, and Privy Counsellors typically hold their position for life unless they resign or are removed. The list records each new member’s name and the date they were sworn in, and it is organized by appointment date.
During this period, many of these counsellors played important roles in government, the judiciary, and public service. This article provides a simple reference to who joined the Privy Council between 1901 and 1910.
