Sir Clarence Waldemar “Clarrie” Harders (1 March 1915 – 22 February 1997) was a senior Australian public servant who headed the Attorney-General’s Department in the 1970s. He studied at the University of Adelaide and spent his career in public service.

Harders rose to become Deputy Secretary of the Attorney-General’s Department and was appointed Secretary on 29 June 1970, a position he held until 1979. In 1969 he was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) while serving as Deputy Secretary, and he was knighted in June 1977 for his public service.

After leaving the Attorney-General’s Department in 1979, Harders became a legal adviser to the Department of Foreign Affairs. He later worked as a consultant with a major law firm.

Harders passed away on 22 February 1997. He is remembered as a skilled and influential public servant who helped shape Australia’s government administration during his era.
