Latschensee is a small lake in the Bavarian Forest, Bavaria, Germany. It sits at about 1,150 meters above sea level and covers about 0.1 hectares (0.25 acres). The lake is up to 45 meters long, 35 meters wide, and 2 meters deep. There are no major outflows. Latschensee lies inside the Bavarian Forest National Park, Germany's first national park, in a large forest area in Central Europe. The lake is a popular spot for hikers and nature lovers, with a boardwalk that leads to a scenic overlook. It is a bog pond surrounded by spruce trees, grasses, moss, and dwarf shrubs.
