La Selle-Guerchaise
La Selle-Guerchaise is a small commune in Brittany, in northwestern France. In French it is La Selle-Guerchaise; in Breton it’s Kell-Gwerc'h and in Gallo it’s La Cèll-Gèrcheizz. The people who live there are called Sellais.
It is located in the Ille-et-Vilaine department, within the arrondissement of Fougères-Vitré and the canton of La Guerche-de-Bretagne. It is part of the Vitré Communauté intercommunalité. The town covers an area of 12.14 square kilometers and sits at elevations between 65 and 95 meters.
As of 2023, 153 people live in La Selle-Guerchaise, giving a population density of about 71.5 inhabitants per square kilometer.
The mayor is Ludovic Le Squer, serving the 2020–2026 term. The postal code is 35325 and the INSEE code is 35130.
