La La La Love Thang
La La La Love Thang is the ninth studio album by Japanese singer Toshinobu Kubota, released December 2, 1996. Recorded in 1995–1996, the R&B, pop and soul album runs 55:38 and was produced mainly by Kubota, with Yoichiro Kakizaki handling the hit "La La La Love Song," which features Naomi Campbell. Its singles were "Niji no Grand Slam" (1995), "La La La Love Song" (1996) and "Body-Cation" (1996). The album was a major success in Japan, earning triple platinum status, peaking at #2 on the Oricon Albums Chart and staying on the chart for 28 weeks. Worldwide sales reached about 840,000 copies by 2012. To promote the release, Kubota launched his first international tour in 1996, the Oyeees! Tour, and released Toshinobu Kubota Concert Tour '96: Oyeees! as a live album; a 1996 Yoyogi show was filmed for video, and a 1997 VHS/DVD release followed. The tour supported Kubota’s albums Bumpin’ Voyage, Sunshine, Moonlight, and La La La Love Thang.
