La Chomette
La Chomette is a small rural commune in central France, in the Haute-Loire department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It covers 16.9 square kilometers and sits at elevations between 573 and 743 meters (about 652 m on average). The population was 143 in 2023. The coordinates are about 45.23°N, 3.48°E. It is part of the Brioude arrondissement and the Pays de Lafayette canton. The Occitan name for the village is La Chaumeta. The mayor for 2020–2026 is Marie-Andrée Perrey.
