Masatoshi Kurata

Masatoshi Kurata (倉田 雅年; July 10, 1939 – November 21, 2016) was a Japanese politician from the Liberal Democratic Party. He served in the House of Representatives from 2000 to 2009, representing the Tokai region through proportional representation. Born in Shimizu, Shizuoka, he graduated from the University of Tokyo. After an unsuccessful run in 1996, he was elected in 2000. Kurata died of cancer in 2016 in Nagaizumi, Shizuoka.
