Kuala Lumpur–Seremban Expressway
The Kuala Lumpur–Seremban Expressway is a short, six‑lane expressway in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It runs 8.1 km from Razak Mansion in the north to the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza near the North–South Expressway Southern Route in the south. The KL stretch is managed by ANIH Berhad (formerly MetaCorp Sdn Bhd).
Route numbers and management
- Route: Often shown as E37 (designated in 2007), though some maps label it with E2 due to linkages with the North–South Expressway Southern Route; the KL segment itself is not part of PLUS’s E2 network.
- Start/end: Kilometre Zero at Razak Mansion Interchange; southern end just before Sungai Besi Toll Plaza.
- Management: The KL segment is operated by ANIH Berhad; the southern stretch of the NS route was taken over by PLUS Expressways Berhad in 1988, with the KL portion later transferred to MetaCorp (now ANIH Berhad) in 1992 and 2011.
Toll and history
- Toll status: Toll collection at Sungai Besi toll plaza ceased on 1 June 2018 when toll concessions ended.
- History in brief: Construction began on 27 March 1974 as part of RMK-2, funded by a World Bank loan, and cost RM32.9 million. The expressway opened on 16 June 1982 and was Malaysia’s first closed‑toll expressway. It served as a pioneer route for the North–South Expressway Southern Route. Over time, the route was extended and reorganised, with privatisation and management changes, and the KL segment eventually became the responsibility of ANIH Berhad.
