Ailuromancy
Ailuromancy, also called aeluromancy or felidomancy, is a way of predicting the future by watching a cat. It comes from the Greek word for cat and is a type of theriomancy, which uses animals for divination. People study a cat’s movements to forecast events, especially the weather. For example, if a cat turns its tail toward a fire or another heat source, it may signal a change in the weather, like heavy rain or frost. If a cat curls up with its forehead touching the ground, storms may be coming soon.
