Spring Creek (Beaver River Tributary)
Spring Creek is a small river in Harper County, Oklahoma, south of the town of Laverne. It is formed by the joining of two streams, the North Fork Spring Creek and the South Fork Spring Creek. Both forks rise southwest of Laverne, just across the Beaver County line. The North Fork runs northeast across Harper County; the South Fork starts by flowing east near the Ellis County border and then turns north-northwest, crossing Harper County’s southern edge. The two forks meet south-southwest of Laverne, just north of the intersection of U.S. Highways 412 and 270. From there, Spring Creek flows generally northeast toward the Beaver River. Some maps show the creek ending before reaching the Beaver, but its watershed drains all the way to the river. There are several other streams named Spring Creek in Oklahoma; this is the one that feeds the Beaver River.
