Kottakulam
Kottakulam, also known as Sumaitheernthapuram, is a panchayat town in Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, India. It lies near Ilanji, about 4 km from Tenkasi and 3 km from Courtallam Falls. The village falls under Vallam VAO office and Shenkottah Taluk. National Highway 208 passes through it. Kottakulam is bordered by two lakes, West Kottakulam Lake and East Kottakulam Lake, and by the Kundaru (Kundar) river. As of 2001, the population was 3,600, with 51% males and 49% females.
