Vigoux
Vigoux is a small commune in central France, in the Indre department of the Centre-Val de Loire region. It covers about 137.5 square kilometers and had 472 residents in 2023, giving a population density of around 12.6 people per square kilometer. The land sits between 168 and 269 meters above sea level, with an average height of about 211 meters.
The Abloux River forms the entire southwestern border of Vigoux. The commune is part of the Le Blanc arrondissement and the Saint-Gaultier canton, and it's within the Brenne Val de Creuse intercommunality.
The mayor for 2021–2026 is Brigitte Beigneux-Pipereau. Vigoux uses Central European Time (UTC+1) and daylight saving time in summer (UTC+2).
