Todd Ritchie is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played from 1997 to 2004. He was born November 7, 1971, in Portsmouth, Virginia, and bats and throws right-handed. He made his MLB debut on April 3, 1997, with the Minnesota Twins, and his last game was on September 30, 2004, with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. His career totals include a 43–54 win-loss record, a 4.71 earned run average, and 516 strikeouts.

Ritchie was drafted by the Twins in the first round of the 1990 draft, 12th overall. He appeared in 57 games for Minnesota in 1997 and 1998. The Twins released him on October 3, 1998, and he signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates on December 22, 1998.

With the Pirates, Ritchie was used as a starter and had a career-high 15 wins in 1999. He was the Pirates’ Opening Day starter in 2001 and finished that season 11–15. On July 13, 2001, he carried a no-hitter into the ninth inning, but a Luis Alicea single with one out ended it; the Pirates won the game in the bottom of the ninth on a single by Aramis Ramírez.

On December 13, 2001, he was traded to the Chicago White Sox along with Lee Evans for Kip Wells, Sean Lowe, and Josh Fogg. He struggled in 2002, losing 15 games with a 6.06 ERA, and became a free agent afterward.

Ritchie signed with the Milwaukee Brewers on January 14, 2003, but missed most of the year due to injury. He signed with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for 2004 and spent most of that season in the minor leagues.

He attempted a comeback with the Pirates in 2005 but retired during spring training. He briefly returned in 2008 with the Colorado Rockies, playing in the minor leagues, but after one appearance at Double-A Tulsa he retired again.
