Alfred Valentine Rouse (14 February 1897 – 1961), known as Val Rouse, was an English footballer who played as a left half. He was born in Hoddesdon, England and began his career with Welsh clubs Llanelly and Pontypridd before joining Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1921. He played five league games for Wolves in the 1921–22 season.

In August 1922 he moved to Stoke, where he stayed until 1926. He made 92 league appearances for Stoke and scored 2 goals, and he was captain in the 1924–25 season. He scored his first senior goal on 1 November 1924 in a 1–1 draw with Barnsley. That season the team struggled but managed to avoid relegation by a narrow margin.

He then joined Swansea Town for the 1925–26 season, playing four times. In June 1926 he moved to Port Vale, where he made 95 league appearances up to 1929. He then spent 1929–31 with Crewe Alexandra in the Third Division North, playing 83 games and scoring 1 goal. After that he played for Connah’s Quay & Shotton.

Overall, Val Rouse made 279 league appearances and scored 3 goals in his career. He passed away in 1961, aged about 63–64.
