Ko Htwe
Yebaw Ko Htwe (1929–19 July 1947), also known honorifically as Yebaw Ko Htwe, was a Burmese security officer from Mandalay. He served as a bodyguard to U Razak, the minister in charge of Education and National Planning. On 19 July 1947, during a meeting at the Secretariat in downtown Yangon, several Burmese leaders were assassinated. Ko Htwe was the only person killed who was not a government official. Seven cabinet ministers, including Prime Minister Aung San, and a deputy minister died in the attack. Martyrs' Day is observed in Myanmar on 19 July each year to honor them. He died at the age of 18. He was born to Ko Ko Lay and Min Yi.
