John McGhee

John McGhee (5 July 1945 – 1 September 1975) was a Scottish footballer who played as a centre-back. He began with Vale of Leven Juniors and went on to play for Dumbarton (1966–1970, 59 league appearances), Stenhousemuir (1969–1970, 1 appearance), and Stirling Albion (1970–1971, 28 appearances). In 1970 he moved to Australia, where he later died in a car crash in Sydney on 1 September 1975, aged 30.
