Knoellia aerolata is a species of bacteria in the genus Knoellia. It is Gram-positive, non-motile and does not form spores. The bacterium is aerobic (needs oxygen) and mesophilic (prefers moderate temperatures). Its cells can be irregular rods or sometimes coccoid (round). It was first found in an air sample from Suwon, South Korea. The name means "air-carried."
