Prasauni Rural Municipality
Prasauni Rural Municipality (Prasauni Gaupalika) is a local government area in Bara District, Province No. 2, Nepal. It was established in 2016 by merging seven former village development committees into seven wards. It covers 20.24 square kilometers and had a population of 25,478 in 2011. The municipality is in the Central Development Region, Narayani Zone. Local languages are Bhojpuri, Maithili, Tharu and Nepali, and major religions are Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity.
