Kjell Schou-Andreassen
Kjell Schou-Andreassen (19 June 0 1940 – 19 November 1997) was a Norwegian footballer and one of the country’s most successful managers. A midfielder, he played mainly for Viking FK, with early spells at Stavanger IF and SK Brann. He made 108 league appearances for Viking between 1963 and 1970 and earned one Norway U19 cap in 1958.
As a coach, Schou-Andreassen helped Viking win the Norwegian First Division in 1972. He also coached Bryne (1977–79) and Lillestrøm (1980–81), where he finished second in the Norwegian Cup in 1980 and won the Cup in 1981. He was national U21 manager from 1973 to 1977 and, together with Nils Arne Eggen, the Norway national team manager from 1974 to 1977, taking charge of the national team again for the Olympics in 1987.
In 1982 he returned to Viking and won the Norwegian First Division again. Eggen said Schou-Andreassen was the man who best represented Norwegian football for him, and Schou-Andreassen later built his own personnel department. He died of leukemia at age 57.
